Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The scale of full-mesh wavelength-routing network system based on an arrayed-waveguide (AWG-STAR) is estimated experimentally. Transmission characteristics at 2.5 Gbit/s and 10 Gbit/s show that the system is applicable for wide area network or metropolitan area. The maximum number of nodes is limited by optical crosstalk at the wave wavelength. An error-free operation of 32-node network is confirmed and the maximum system scalability up to 100 nodes is estimated.
