Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Fraunhofer diffraction plays an important role in the field of optical information processing such as an image processing. In this presentation, an optical signal transformation technology based on FM laser characteristics and optical heterodyne detection is described. Electrical AM and/or ASK signals can be easily transformed to the respective FM and/or FSK signals. This signal transformation scheme can provide a powerful solution for fiber-optic access system integration.
