Study on fast decoding algorithm for block trubo codes and it's application for optical transmission systems

Abstract(in English) Recently, the Turbo codes have been attracting the attention in optical communication area as the best FEC codes approaching the Shannon limit as in wireless communication area. In this paper, the new fast decoding algorithm for the Turbo codes is proposed. The proposed algorighm was found to be more than three times faster than the conventional method.
