Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) For extended WDM-PON systems, amplifying and distributing optical packets after optical rooting, we studied the transmission characteristics, especially the transient response, of EDFAs amplifying burst optical signals. Focusing on the condition of the input optical signals (burst rate, power) and the Pump power, we evaluated the waveform of the output optical signals theoretically and experimentally. Then, with the method of multiplexing dummy signals to burst optical signals, we improved the burst transmission characteristics.
