Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Guided mode transmission in a novel slanted fiber Bragg grating with axially asymmetric cladding is numerically analyzed. We calculated the radiation mode powers and the guided mode powers for a proposal device based on the Fraunhofer diffraction theory. Calculation results successfully show its non-reciprocal guided-wave propagation equivalent with optical isolators and high unidirectional transmissivity.
