Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) High power laser diodes around 1480nm can be utilized as the pump for OPA from 1450nm to 1520nm (S-band), EDFA from 1530nm to 1565nm (C-band), and Raman amplifier from 1570nm to 1600nm (L-band), simultaneously. In this study, we demonstrated that single 1480nm semiconductor LD could be pump of these three amplification simultaneously. And we implemented S-band nonlinear amplifier, with over 18dB gain, and S-band wavelength converter, with over 20nm bandwidth using combination of Raman gain and optical parametric amplification.
