Characteristics of 24-fiber low skew cable

Abstract(in English) We manufactured 24-fiber low skew cable used 12-fiber ribbons, and we investigated the skew characteristic of the cable. It has already been known that the skew characteristic of the fiber depends on the difference of the strain between fibers. Therefore, it is necessary to prevent the dirference of the strain from being between fibers in the same ribbon fiber. We clarified that notes when the cable is manufactured are to make the ribbon fiber the horizontal. And we showed that the skew characteristic of the cable changes by the temperature change depending on the structure of the cable.
