Abstract(in English) The recent growth in Internet and other data-communication services is strongly pushing for subscriber access networks to be upgraded to allow the on-demand use of broad bandwidth.This paper proposes a novel and simply configured broadband optical access network that uses coherence multiplexing(CM);it allows the on-demand use of broad bandwidth on existing fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) access lines.We also discuss its scalability.This study shows that the capability of existing FTTH access lines that employ star couples can be significantly enhanced.
