Abstract(in English) On optical transmission systems employing the optical super wide-band FM technique, we analyzed the generation mechanism of linear distortion and established its theory.In that system, the linear distortitions consist of the group-delay distortions along FM transmission and the distortions induced by a discriminating operation for the FM demodulation.For the former, the application of the Carson's theory to multi-channel transmission can meet the measured distortion characteristics accurately.For the latter, from the view point of the harmonic distortion effecting on the phase of the discriminated FM signal, our proposed theory of the equivalent group-delay characteristics is shown to be available.
