Abstract(in English) We compare three types of modulation formats, Carrier Suppressed Return to Zero(CS-RZ), pure-RZ and Single Side-Band RZ(SSB-RZ), for highly effecient WDM systems.First, we compare them in terms of the tolerance against the waveform degradation due to the narrow bandwidth of de-multiplexing filter.Further, we experimentally evaluate the nonlinear tolerance of three types of modulation format.Finally, the transmission performance of them is compared in the 1 Tbit/s dense WDM transmission experiment(50×20 Gbit/s with 0.4nm spacing).
