Abstract(in English) We have developed an arrayed waveguide grating (AWG) with a wavelength-routing function and have built a prototype system for a photonic network. The system exhibits some features as follows : 1) Its logical topology is a 32 x 32 full mesh that uses 32 wavelengths while the physical topology is a WDm star network with a wavelength-routing AWG located at its center. 2) Its works independently with the protocol type and bit-rate of the data. (Gbit Ethernet, OC-4 ATM, HD-SDI, and 10Gbit-random data can be transported without special interference.) 3) A wavelength is assigned to each node and data is routed to the node according to the assigned wavelength.
