Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) All-optical switch without OE/EO conversion is expected to be an indispensable component for the implementation of ultrafast signal processing. Ultrafast switching speed can be obtained by utilizing ultrafast nonlinear optical effect in the distributed feedback waveguide. In this paper, the all-optical switching operation in the fabricated nonlinear waveguide loaded with Bragg-reflector is demonstrated using TM-polarized and TE-polarized control light for TE-polarized signal one. In addition, dependence of threshold switching power on the control light wavelength is also invesigated.
