Repetition Algorithm of Least Squares Method using Weights for Estimation of BOTDR Power Spectrum

Abstract(in English) The optical fiber strain depends on the frequency shift of the Brilluin scattering. The optical fiber strain sensor has been developed through the use of this characteristics. This paper proposed the repetition algorithm of the least squares method using weights for the back scattering power spectrum waveform estimation required in the measurement of the Brillouin frequency shift. The stability of the proposed repetition algorithm was theoretically clarified and the simulation results confirmed the usefulness of our repetition method.
