Abstract(in English) | Optical single-sideband (SSB) and double-sideband suppressed-carrier (DSB-SC) transmissions using a dual-electrode Mach-Zehnder modulator were investigated thoretically and experimentally for fiber-optical transmission of microwave signals. We examined superior CNR and BER performances of the transmission using balanced DSB-SC modulation scheme to those using SSB modulation scheme for the change of optical interference phase difference of modulator. |
