Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The coherence of a high order soliton pulse train and the corresponding super-continuum are greatly degraded due to the random evolution of the high order soliton in the presence of noise. This random evolution may be interpreted as the amplification of random ASE by the modulation instability gain of the high order soliton. We show that this random evolution can be suppressed by filtering an appropriate portion of the ASE spectrum.
