| 抄録(和) | 光通信の大容量化を目指した超高速伝送の研究は盛んであり、数100cm以上に及ぶ Supercontinuum(SC)発生による波長多重用光源としての利用が検討されている。波長分散特性が平坦かつ伝搬方向に分散値が減少するファイバ(分散フラット/減少ファイバ)を用いることにより高効率で高品質なSCスペクトルが得られることが数値解析および実験により報告されている。本報告では、W型屈折率分布をもつ分散フラットファイバで伝搬方向に分散値が減少する分散フラット/減少ファイバの波長分散特性、高次分散効果(3,4,5次の分散)、高次非線形光学効果(自己急峻化、誘導ラマン散乱)を考慮したSC発生の数値シミュレーションによる解析を行い、そのSCスペクトル波形及びスペクトル幅を検討した。更に現在進行中のSCスペクトル観測についても触れる, |
| 抄録(英) | In the optical fiber communication technologies towards large capacity and high speed transmission systems, a supercontinuum(SC) generation has found many applications as a light source producing ultrashort pluses over wide spectrum range more than a few hundred nm. It has been reported from numerical analysis and experimental results that the high-quality and broad SC spectrum is obtained by using the optical fibers with a dispersion-flattened and dispersion-decreasing characteristic along axis. In this paper, we present the numerical analysis of the SC generation for the above mentioned dispersion-flattened / decreasing fiber (especially, for W-type fibers) taking into account of wavelength-dispersion characteristic. Higher-order dispersion effects (the 3rd, 4th and 5th order ones) and higher-order nonlinear effects (self-steepening effect and stimulated Raman scattering effect), are also included in the analysis and evaluated in terms of SC spectrum waveforms and spectrum widths. Some experimental results of SC spectrum which is presently under study will be discussed briefly. |
