Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Efficient fiber usage management is indispensable to reduce deployment cost of optical access networks. During introductory period, subscribers exist scatteringly and the number is little. Therefore, fiber management needs to accommodate subscribers efficiently. This paper describes the cable availability for trickle of fiber needs and the relation among the number of subscribers, inventory fibers and dormant fibers. This paper also describes improvement example of the optical fiber usage rate by proposed fiber selection and design method.
