Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) To achieve the long haul and high capacity RZ pulse transmission, the high pulse duty and the high peak power shuld be used. The pulse distortion due to the interaction between fiber dispersion and nonlinear self-phase-modulation (SPM-GVD effect), however degrades transmission characteristics. Such a distotion can not be compensated even if OPC, are used for compensation of fiber dispersion and nonlinearity. In this paper, suppression of the SPM-GVD effect by Alternate Phase Inversion(API) signaling is reported.
