Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In the optical fiber communication technologies towards large capacity and high speed transmission systems, a supercontinuum (SC) generation has found many applications as valuable light source with a broad bandwidth more than a few hundred nm. It has been reported from numerical analysis and experimental results that the high-quality and broad SC spectrum is obtained by using the optical fibers with a dispersion-flattened and dispersion-decreasing characteristic along axis. In this paper, we analyzed based on more accurate computer simulations of SC spectrum for the above mentioned dispersion-flattened/ decreasing fiber taking account of higher-order dispersion effect (the third, fourth, and fifth-order ones), high order nonlinear effect (self-steepening effect and stimulated Raman scattering (SRS) effect), and wavelength dependent loss.
