Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper clarifies the relationship between optical gain and fiber parameters of optical phase-sensitive amplifier with nonlinear fiber Sagnac interferometer (NFSI-PSA) by both theoretical and experimental study. In the theoretical study, parametric process within nonlinear fiber Sagnac interferometer (NFSI) is described by the small-signal analysis to obtain optical gain. The results of the small-signal analysis well explain experimental results, which means the analysis is applicable to design NFSI-PSA. We also confirmed as high as 11 dB gain increment by using high nonlinearity silica fiber which is enhanced nonlinearity parameter 7 times larger than the conventional single mode silica fiber.
