Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The standardization for GFR (Guaranteed Frame Rate) Service is proceeding now. Compared to UBR Service, GFR Service has the advantage of minimum-bandwidth guarantee and impartial assignment of unused bandwidth. In this work, we developed and evaluated the GFR transaction circuit. In order for the GFR circuit, which guarantees best-effort-like throughput, to ease traffic congestion within the network, there is a need to hold Cell Delay Variation (CDV) to a minimum. In this work, we propose a bandwidth allocation method which allocates GFR class connection bandwidth while keeping CDV within the CDV specification, and verify the effectiveness of this method.
