Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Frequency shift induced by collison between different channels in a wavelength-division-multiplexed RZ optical pulse transmission system can be reduced by dispersion management designed as follows ; (1)Fiber dispersion is proportional to the variation of the nonlinearity due to fiber loss and lumped amplifiers. (2)Fiber has large dispersion locally. (3)Dispersion map is designed to obtain cancellation between the shifts in normal and anomalous dispersion fibers. In this report, we theoritically analyze this frequency shift in dispersion managed systems which has relatively small dispersion difference, and propose the optimal dispersion management schemes.
