Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Authors have already reported that long-haul optical fiber transmission over 10, 000km is possible by adequately controlling the average dispersion of the dispersion managed transmission line and launching pulse power even when launching pulse shape is not soliton (sech) one but gaussion one. In the previoud study, it has been found that the amount of timing jitter at the receiver side drastically changes depending on the configuration of the dispersion managed fiber link. In this report, comparisons of the dispersion management schemes from the view point of timing jitter reduction are reported.
