Abstract(in English) Gain variation mechanisms of an Er-doped fiber amplifier are investigated to clarify the gainflattening conditions and an appropriate EDFA configuration for these purposes.A wide gain bandwidth ranging from 1530nm to 1560nm with gain variation of less than 3dB has been realized over wide input signal power range through the co-ordination of a high-Al-concentration aluminosilicate EDF,980nm double-pump configuration and a tunable longwavelength pass filter.
