Ultra-high-splitting-ratio subscriber loops for small capacity services

Abstract(in English) In this report,we have investigated noise and gain characteristics of 2 wavelength division multiplexed optical fiber amplifier,and demonstrated bidirectional transmission of analog and digital signals. We clarified the noise characteristics of wavelength division multiplexed optical fiber amplifier can be degraded due to the beat noise between signal and spontaneous emission of other signal source.In order to eliminate this degradation,over 50dB extinction ratio is needed.And we proposed a new scheme to compensate signal gain difference.By using this bidirectional optical amplifier,14dB gain for both signals,CSO distortion of -73dBc for analog signal, and minimum input power of -35dBm at BER = 10^-9> for baseband digital signal is achieved.
