Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In analog subcarrier multiplexed(SCM)optical transmission systems,it is very important to estimate the cross modulation distortion(XMD),because the XMD degrades the video quality as well as CSO and CTB.Measuring the XMD in SCM optical transmission, the extraordinary XMD was observed. We theoretically and experimentally revealed that the combination of the optical multipath and the spectrum bandwidth modulation effect by the synchronized measurement signal waveform caused it.It was suggested that the asynchronized multicarrier signal generator should be used to avoid the extraordinary XMD.
