Abstract(in English) In this paper,we propose a novel configuration of EDFA which realizes both a flat spectral gain and a high output power.It is based on the fact that EDFs with different glass compositions have different gain peaks.This EDFA uses a hybrid EDF which consists of serially cascaded EDFs with different glass compositions.By using the hybrid EDFAS,we demonstrate that multi-stage amplified transmission of 50 channel AM-VSB signals can be achieved with no significant degradation of signal distortions.
