Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The coherence function can be synthesized by the direct frequency modulation of a laser diode.Using this technique,we have proposed a new reflectometry,Optical Coherence Domain Reflectometry by Synthesis of Coherence Function(OCDR),without mechanical moving parts nor calculation.Recently,we found that the coherence function is scanned by the phase modulation of the reference light wave in the interferometer, and proposed a higher- performance reflectometry, phase modulating OCDR(p-OCDR),than usual OCDR,and made both theoretical and experimental study of p-OCDR.In this report,we report a novel method to meausre the relationship between the injection current amplitude and the oscillation frequency of the laser diode.Compensating the nonlinearity between the injection current amplitude and the oscillation frequency of the laser diode obtained this method,1.8 mm-spatial resolution was achieved by p-OCDR.
