Flat Passband Binomial Optical Filter

Abstract(in English) A novel binomial cascaded Mach-Zehnder optical filter is proposed. This filter has a flat passband with steep transition and very low stopband output. This filter is composed of Mach- Zehnder interferometers with a ring resonator in one arm, cascaded through the couplers, length of which is distributed as the binomial function. The application of this filter to the MUX/DEMUX system is discussed.
