A High Power Nd-doped Double-Core Fiber Amplifier

Abstract(in English) A new structure of an Nd-doped double-core fiber (DCF) to realize a high power amplifier at 1.06μm, and amplifier system configurations using the DCF are proposed. Theoretical model to describe an amplifying performance of the Nd-doped DCF amplifier is also constructed. The DCF configuration can provide watt-class high power operation with an easier pump coupling, a higher Nd doping concentration and a longer doped fiber.
