Development of Dispersion Compensating Fiber for WDM transmission.

Abstract(in English) We fabricated dispersion flat compensating fiber (DFCF) which could compensate the dispersion of 1.31μm SMF at wide region wavelength from 1.53 to 1.56μm with optimizing the refractive index profiles of W-shaped DCF whose dispersion slope is negative. It was appeared that the combination of SMF and DFCF is adequate for WDM transmission by evaluating the non-linear characteristics.
