Abstract(in English) An AM suppression and a distortion compensation circuit are successfully applied to optical AM video transmission systems employing optical heterodyne AM/FM converters to improve distrotion properties. Obtained values greater than 53dB for the composite second-order distortion (CSO) and composite triple beat (CTB), and obtained values greater than 45dB for CNR are achieved experimentally, when the received optical power is -17dBm.
