Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Reducing the degaradation of signal-to-noise ratio and of signal pulse form due to the combined effect of group velocity dispersion (GVD) and self-phase modulation (SPM) of transmission fiber is important issue to realize high-speend and long-span optical lightwave systems. In this report, the use of Phase-Sensitive Amplifiers as in-line repeater of the lightwave systems is theoretically studied to moderate those both of problems. In the discussion, higher order GVD and SPM are considerd to obtain the relationship between GVD, transmission speed and pulse shape limt, and then those results are compared between NRZ and RZ pulses. We also confirmed theoretically that the implementation of in-line PSAs expands regenarative repeater spacing about 10 times than that of EDFA systems, in case of TDM 40Gbit/s system.
