Abstract(in English) This paper describes an efficient and economical method for dropping optical fiber to residential premises without the need for a fiber joint in the dropping portion employing pipe stranded cable, dropping pipe wire and fiber blowing technique. The inner diameters of the pipes in the pipe stranded cable and the dropping pipe wire are investigated theoretically and experimentally, and the optimum values are obtained. Based on the results, the pipe stranded cable and dropping pipe wire are manufactured and their transmission and mechanical characteristics are confirmed to be stable.
