Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | We have proposed a broadcast-and-select WDM switch to realize hyper-media optical information networks for the future. The broadcast-and-select WDM switch which can handle with around 10-Mbit/s signals and has many channels such as more than 100,000 is required in the netwoek. In this paper, we study the possibility of the switch capacity and the number of channels by analyzing CNR, distortion, and wavelength crosstalk when 16QAM is used in this switch. As the fundamental experiments, we measured CNR and CTB when EDFAs are connected in series. As a result, we confirmed 130,000 channels can be realized when 4 EDFAs are connected. |
