| Abstract(in English) | In the VI&P experiments, we are developing the visual, intelligent, and personal communication services for the ATM network. We are also evaluating these services and keep modifying our experiments accordingly. One part of these experiments is the Visual Collaboration Conference System. This conference system makes it possible to hold a conference from three different locations. The system gives the participants the feeling of actually talking to each other in the same room. In this report, I will explain the organization of system. I will also talk about high definition television CODEC and super-high-definition image displays. In addition, I will explain the important aspects of technology for image and sound systems and result of our studies. Finally, I will discuss the effectiveness of this conference system. |
