Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) It is expected that an optical add/drop multiplexer (ADM) allowed us to exploit scalability in WDM networks. A Mach-Zehnder interferometer with photo induced fiber Bragg gratings is promising devices as an optical ADM circuit. The ADM performance is investigated using six-wavelength ADM experiments. Two methods are proposed to avoid an interferometric crosstalk. One is a wavelength offset scheme, and another is a cascaded design. We have demonstrated the interferometric crosstalk could be negligibly eliminated to -71 dB.
