Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Flexible enhanced telecommunications services need a distributed call processing model, which consists of call processing functions and bearer processing functions. We have proposed a bearer control method, called HDBC, which decreases connection setup delays. This paper describes the improvement, of HDBC to enhance the availability of bearer resources. HDBC divides bearer resources into groups and manages them independently, which may cause unavailability. To avoid this, a bearer managing object is introduced to coordinate unused bearer resources. This object keeps information about unused resources, and gives that information to appropriate bearer control objects. This mechanism reduces the possibility of connection establishment failure caused by the shortage of bearer resources
