Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) An OFDM signal is very sensitive to a carrier phase noise because it consists of thousands of orthogonal subcarriers. There are two effects caused by phase noise in tuner. One is common phase error(CPE) which occurs commonly to all subcarriers, another is the inter carrier interference(ICI) which is caused by a loss of orthogonality among subcarriers. The ICI becomes a serious problem when the low frequency component of phase noise is large, and the number of subcarrier is large as in 8k-OFDM. This paper describes a new phase noise suppression method which reduces the ICI very effectively. The experimental results shows that the proposed method improves BER remarkably under the carrier phase noise circumstances.
