Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper describes the precise design and measurement method for wideband optical fiber amplifier for WDM systems. By calculating gain coefficient of EDF(Erbium-Doped Fiber)from the absorption coefficient through McCumber relation, the design accuracy of 0.3dB within 1525^-1570nm bnd has been achieves using conventional 2-level model. For precise evaluation of wideband optical fiber amplifier for WDM systems, the measurement scheme using a saturating signal and a probe signal has been proven to be accurate with an accuracy less than 0.15dB, by setting the wavelength of the saturating signal at the center of the WDMed signals
