Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Most of past works on performance evaluation of WDM-based all-optical networks have ignored the wavelength reservation time in spite of the fact that it may degrade the performance. It is especially true when the WDM transmission bandwidth becomes large. In this paper, we propose an approximate analytic approach for all-optical networks with non-zero propagation delay in call processing. The accuracy of the proposed approach is validated via simulation experiments by using a sample network, and the performance of several connection setup methods are compared using our analytic approach.
