Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) It has been manufactured that highly nonlinear dispersion shifted fiber (DSF) with the nonlinear coefficient 7.6 times as large as that of cinventional DSF and low transmission loss. In order to make this fiber put into small module, properties of bending loss and polarization mode dispersion at the coil with small diameter are investigated. This fiber produces four wave mixing light over broad bandwidth about 20nm and has the efficiency 58 times as high as that of DSF.
