Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | Dispersion managed wavelength-division-multiplexed soliton transmission technology, in which the dispersion is changed along the transmission line to maintain the balance with the decreasing nonlinearity due to the fiber loss, is important as a method to suppress the frequency shift arising from the collision between solitons. In this report, we derive a stationary pulse solution propagating through a transmission line in which both the dispersion and the nonlinearity change periodically and present an optimal design of the multi-step dispersion managed line based on the integrability of the core part of the pulse. |
