High Accuracy NF Measurement for WDM Signal Using Pluse Method

Abstract(in English) In noise figure measurements of optical amplifiers for WDM communications, it is necessary to directly measure the noise level at the signal wavelength. The pulse method shows promise as a way of allowing this, but to realize high accuracy measurements using this method the errors due to a number of factors of the elements and equipment used must be considered. We can report that, fully taking into account all these errors, we have been able to achieve noise figure measurements using the pulse method with an accuracy of 0.3dB.
