Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Remote fiber test system is actively employed in the current optical subscriber network. The main passive components used in this fiber test system include optical branching modules with coupling and filter functions, termination cables which incorporate test light isolation and high reflection function, and large scale optical switch which performs fiber selection functions. This paper explains the cost reduction, compact size design, and other advanced applied technologies employed in the development of these components.
