Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper proposes a motion estimation method using the position estimation method of blotch noise for motion picture restoration. The proposed method estimates blotch candidate areas and excludes them from the block matching area for motion estimation. These areas are detected independently for each frame and estimated by information of brightness and edges. This method can estimate the motion of images more correctly than conventional methods such as block matching using mean absolute error without blotch noise position estimation and block matching using virtual original image.
