Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper proposes a novel structure of the affine projection(AP)adaptive algorithm based on a subband adaptive system(SAS). Using the proposed structure, we can increase the rate of convergence when the input signal is highly correlated. The SAS used in the proposed structure differs from the conventional ones, i.e., it does not include the decimation operations, the adaptive filters in subbands share the same coefficients, and coefficients of analysis filters are determined according to the Hadamard transform. These differences makes the proposed structure to have some advantages over the conventional structures of the AP algorithm. For example, we can greatly reduce the computational requirement for implementing the AP algorithm because the proposed structure does not erquire the matrix inversion. Through the simulation results, we show that, by selecting the number of subbands suitably, the proposed structure can increase the rate of convergence.
