IIR type equalizer using autoregressive type adaptive prefilter

Abstract(in English) We propose an IIR type adaptive equalizer which uses an autoregressive type adaptive prefilter. The proposed equalizer has the structure where the reverse filter of the estimated channel is concatenated to the front part of a FIR type adaptive filter, this becomes an IIR system collectively. In the conventional the FIR type adaptative equalizer only using the FIR type filter, when correlation of an input signal was large, there was a problem on which the convergence property of the LMS algorithm gets worse. For the method to be proposed, the convergence property of the LMS algorithm is improved by putting the reverse filter which has the effect of reducing the correlation of the signal produced by the channel on the front part of the FIR type adaptative aqualizer, and shortening of training time is realized. We show the validity of the proposed equalizer by computer simulations.
