Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Copyright protection of digital contents become more and more important in accordance with the development of computer networks. As a solution of this problem, digital watermark technology is drawn attention and various watermarking methods have been presented. However, the difference of robustness among these methods has been hardly discussed because the measure for evaluating their performance has not been established yet. We have recently proposed the method of evaluating the robustness of watermarking systems. In this paper, besed on this method, we analyze the performance of the watermark methods using DCT and DWT, and compare their robustness. Then, using this result, we consider how to improve these methods.
