Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper proposes a new simplification method using the fractal dimension, which is one of the characteristics of an object which has a statistical self-similarity, as an indicator of the level of simplification. It is possible to simplify the object keeping relatively strong features, because feature points are extracted by the result of the analysed state of unevenness of the original images that have strong relations to the fractal dimension.
